This king quilt is made from nine different batik fabrics. I used two dark brown prints, two beige and five medium toned batiks. The medium fabric has hints of green, blue and a little burgandy.

This quilt captures the colors of nature and the neutral fabrics would be perfect in most any bedroom. This would make a fantastic gift for the newly married couple of for the love of your life. It is heirloom quality and would be treasured for many generations.

The batiks used are high quality, new quilt shop fabric. The colors are soothing while the pattern is modern.

The quilting is done using brown thread in a scroll and leaf pattern that adds depth and interest to the quilt. I used a dark brown batik for the backing which you can see in the fourth photo.

This king quilt measures approximately 111 X 111. The brown binding has been made double and machine stitched to the front of the quilt, then turned and hand stitched to the back to finish.

This quilt is filled with poloydown batting which is soft and silky, but about half the weight of cotton. This makes it possible to use all year long.

When washing becomes necessary, this can be done in the machine with cold water and a gentle cycle. Toss it in the dryer and dry on a low setting, lay it flat, or hang it to dry.

All of my quilts are professionallly quilted by Carol's Country Quilt Shop in Van Buren, Missouri.
