85% Superwash Merino/15% NEP Nylon
435 yards/100 g
7-9 st/in on US 0-2
We love Arizona. We are fascinated by all the colors of the desert, the sunrises and sunsets, and most of all, by the amazing colors of the Grand Canyon. This skein softly stripes in light tangerine, light charcoal and light lilac, reminiscent of a lovely Mesa Sunrise.
This Donegal style sock yarn is 85% superwash merino and 15% NEP nylon for strength. The nylon, a dark neutral, resists dye and gives the color extra depth. Similar to our 80/20 blend, It is quite soft, has a nice bouncy twist and takes color beautifully. At 435 yards (100 g.) per skein, it should be enough for a pair of most socks.
Although the merino in this yarn is superwash, hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry for best results and to extend the life of your finished creation. This yarn has been rinsed a minimum of three times after dyeing, but may still bleed slightly on its first washing.
Currently, yarn is dyed one at a time or in small batches, but if you would like to order multiple skeins for a larger project, I will be happy to dye to order with every attempt made to match skeins as closely as possible. Also, although every attempt has been made to represent colors in photographs, individual monitors may vary.
This yarn was dyed in smoke-free premises. There are two cats and a dog, but they are not allowed to play in the fiber, which is stored in plastic bags and covered bins.
Please note if you want your yarn wound into a center pull cake, at no extra charge.
