Celedon glazes are known for their crazing effect (fine network of cracks) in the glaze which creates a beautiful antiqued look to the pot. I dipped the pot in a second glaze after using a resist and together the two glazes created the white speckled area you see at the center of the pot. The inside of the pot is the same olive color. The lid has a flange which helps hold it in place while pouring. This set comes with everything shown in the pictures including the bamboo handle.
Each cup holds two full refills. The cups vary slightly in shape.
**Do not use on an open flame. Your teapot is meant for brewing and steeping. Since this pot has a bamboo handle I recommend hand-washing and not using in the microwave. However, if you choose to remove the handle your teapot will be fine in the dishwasher and microwave.
