This moon and sun garden plaque is stoneware clay. I rolled out the base with a rolling pin, using star stamps on the surface. The moon and sun faces were sculpted totally by hand. The moon's surface has been "cratered". I used a gun metal green glaze on the moon with indigo accents on the features. The sun is glazed in a butter yellow. The background is a dark, speckled brownish black. There is a hanger glued onto the back. About 11" dia.
This is high fired stoneware and can withstand the elements. I keep mine out all winter here in Georgia. Care should be taken in extreme freezing temps.
Let the sun and moon shine on you anywhere you want with this fun sculpture.
