This dramatic quilt can be used as a lap quilt or sofa throw, or it can be a large wall hanging. Either way, it will be noticed! Very Southwest, very masculine!
This is my own design, starting with a fabric that had large rows of Indian Pottery and Southwest Scenery. (Presumably Monument Valley, since that's the name of the fabric!) To complete the design, I pieced 2 rows of "flying geese" (the rows of triangles) and one row of pieced blocks called "Indian Hatchet" Isn't that fitting!

This lap quilt was professionally machine quilted by me on my Gammill Classic Longarm Quilting machine. It is quilted with lots of straight lines, and outline quilting. There is a hanging sleeve on the back. so it is easy to use as a Wall Hanging too.
NOTE: No trees, quilts, or rattlesnakes were hurt during this photo shoot:. :)
Yes, we really saw a rattlesnake on the trip to this location!
