PLEASE NOTE: THE GREEN CRYSTALS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. In the bottom photo you can see the new crystals I will be using-- Peridot colored Swarovski crystals. They are slightly smaller and not as round, but they are beautiful and sparkle like crazy!

One of the greatest things about Spring is the renewal of the Earth. Everything is turning green again and life is coming around full-circle. This idea inspired me when designing this shawl pin, so it seemed the perfect place to showcase these marvelous globe type beads! They do not actually have continents and water on them, but that is the first impression given to everyone who has looked at them. Featured in this curling design, the Earthly bead is there to remind us how connected we all are in the circle of life—not just on a micro human scale, but on a macro world scale as well.

DETAILS:
My shawl pins are intended for knit, crocheted, woven, or other yarn type garments with open holes. This particular shawl pin is not suitable for a tightly knit item since it is finished with a small curled point that is about 5mm across (about one fifth of an inch). Since the pin is flat, it is suitable for a stitch made with a 3.5mm needle or larger (about the size of US 4 or UK 9 knitting needles). If you would like this pin with a small hammered edge that would be suitable for smaller gauges (like those in most of my pins), please let me know and we can discuss our options!
All wire and bead edges will be smoothed to prevent snagging your Beautiful Yarn. The finished pin will measure approximately 6.75cm x 3.5cm (2.75in x 1.5in).
