"Three rabbits with an attitude" on this adorable square plate is first created by folding the wet clay to give it a self foot. The decorative pattern you see is a combination of painted underglazes and the Japanese method knows as Mishima which is achieved by first carving and then applying slip into the carved areas; when the slip has dried the excess is removed leaving an inlay pattern. I then stamped the balls with my handmade stamps in three different colors.
I have carved 8 hanging holes in the foot so when you are not serving something scrumptious in it, the plate can be enjoyed as decoration by either setting it onto a plate holder or hanging it by a wire. It could also be an adorable butter or soap dish.
Plate is 6 1/2" x 5" in white stoneware pottery.
Food, microwave/dishwasher, and oven safe up to 500 degrees.
