Contemporary sterling silver necklace of gorgeous genuine pink Peruvian opal faceted teardrop, hand wire wrapped grey hematite beads and silver nuggets.
Perfect for Mother's Day!
This necklace is beautiful. The pink peruvian opal teardrop is wonderfully striated with very nice facets (unfortunately, the facets do not show up very well in the photos). I used sterling silver wire to wrap the hematite beads and small sterling nuggets, with a few tiny faceted black glass seed beads, into a nest at the top of the opal. The entire pendant hangs from a fine sterling silver foxtail chain necklace. The necklace is 18" long. The pendant drop is about 1 1/4"long and 3/4" wide.
Natural gemstones have variations in color and often have inclusions. These are not flaws but are part of the natural stone and add to its interest.
