Mormolyca ringen-This choice species is an interesting and unusual small orchid in the epidendrum tribe which produces a single, striking 1” flower on a long stem from the base of the pseudobulb. Each pseudobulb will produce a number of flowers throughout the year. The short round pseudobulb bears a single leaf about 8” tall. Though slow growing, they will produce several new pseudobulbs every year. I have had good success growing these orchids mounted on a stick as they are more tolerant of drying out than some other species. If you would like more information on mounting orchids please contact me. The orchid I am selling is 2 well rooted pseudobulbs in a 3" pot.Typically these begin to flower after they have 3 pseudobulbs, however the second pseudobulb already has a flower spike developing at the base-photo 5.
I will send you the orchid and a detailed care sheet.
The first 2 photos are of the mother orchids in my greenhouse. The last 3 pictures are of the plant available.
