I feel asunder:
Without the silver sage
to whisper the evenings into being.
Without the parade of mountains
rising up as the victory of the West in every direction.
I miss the mule deer,
the long stride of elk,
those beavers patching holes in their backwater dams on the rivers that pour over the land.
I miss knowing that there are things there, lurking behind the aspen groves, under the shadows of the spruce and pine, watching my even gait as I carry myself over hills and down through the coulees.
I feel like a wild spotted pony
with a lasso around my neck
when I leave.
And when I return the landscape is lovely and forgetful,
to take me in once more
like the wild Idaho thing
The Idaho Ring is composed of sterling silver and Prudent Man Agate. I always like to let you know when a stone I've used is from this state of mine. Prudent Man Agate is one of my favorite agates to work with and when I work with it, I'm supporting a local Idaho claim which makes me feel really nice, inside, where it counts. When you reach up and take it off the shelf over at Plumeville, you support an Idaho artist and an Idaho claim. Good on you! I've set this gorgeous and effervescent landscape in rusticated sterling. The cut has depth, clarity and translucency that allows the inner plumes in the cut to show in all their dimension. Just lovely.
This ring measures a US ring size 7.5 with a wide and tapered band -- expect a fit that is AT LEAST a half size smaller than this ring measures.
Built to last.
Made with love.
Crafted to hand down to the generations next.
