BRASS is a zinc/copper alloy light yellow in color. Sometimes referred to as "nu gold" or jeweler's gold, it's a great way to wear gold without the hefty price tag! The finish on this piece glows beautifully, though will mellow to a beautiful deeper color over time. Please note that lotions, sunscreens, and natural oils will speed up this process, so avoid contact where possible. I wear my cuffs daily, without discoloration.
I personally like the deepening of the color as the metal naturally tarnishes, though you can easily bring it back up to sheen with extra-extra fine steel wool, brass polish, polishing cloths, or a bit of (gasp!) ketchup on a soft rag. This piece ships with a complimentary polishing cloth.
