Theses handles are in very solid and sturdy condition. These double choppers are getting much harder to find in this condition.
This was found in a rural farmhouse in Canterbury, New Hampshire.
They would use these to chop side to side in a rolling motion..on a cutting board or wooden bowl to chop herbs, veggie, fruits, nuts etc.
Measures; blade 10" length x 2" wide, handles; 3 3/4" long.
Excellent condition commensurate with age and use for being primitive being a 1800's piece no breaks, holes, cracks at all.
Just so nice on displayed on a chopping board, or in a large wooden bowl.
