This is a two-colour silkscreened print, grey and black on a white 24" square sheet. What is it? Montreal on 27 April 1967, the day Expo 67 opened to the public, and it's one of a series of prints made in April of 2012 showing my recently-ish adopted home city of Montreal and its three largest closest Canadian neighbours (Quebec, Ottawa and Toronto). To the top right you can imagine Parc Lafontaine, to the top left the mountain, and the north border is around Rachel and Mont Royal. 1st edition was silkscreened in an edition of 107 by Séripop (www.seripop.com/), signed and numbered on back. 4th edition is by the same printer in May of 2013 in an edition of 213.

Included in the image: Marche Bonsecours, Pont Victoria, Pont Jacques Cartier, Notre Dame de Bonsecours Chapel, Notre Dame Basilica, Maisonneuve Square, the Bank of Montreal head office, Place Jacques Cartier, Chateau Ramezay, Hotel De Ville, Lucien Saulnier Building, Cour Municipale, Molson Brewery, Maison Gouverneur Pied-du-Courant, Pied-du-Courant Prison, 1957 Rue Poupart (Centre Gedeon-Ouimet), 2309 Boul. de Maisonneuve Est, 2455 Ontario Est, Eglise Sainte Marguerite Marie de Montreal (1967 Ontario Est), Eglise 1013 Rue St. Denis, Place Ville Marie, Basilica Marie-Reine-du-Monde, the Rodier Building, the Dow Planetarium, Maison Louis Hippolyte Lafontaine, Montreal Forum, New City Gas Works, Centaur Theatre, Sun Life Building, Habitat '67, Agora de la Danse (Rue Cherrier), Institute Raymond-Dewar (on Saint-Denis), Bain Saint Laurent, Eglise Saint-Jean Baptiste, Square Saint Louis, Regiment of the Grenadier Guards of Canada (on Park-ish), George Etienne Cartier monument, Redpath Museum McGill, McGill Arts Building, Redpath Mansion, and Club Mount Stephen. On the south islands we have the Canadian, Soviet, Israel, Italian, Czeckoslovakia, Yugoslavia, France, UK, European Community, Science, Swiss, Austrian, Belgium, and Australian Expo 1967 pavilions as well.
