Vintage 1950's Woven Basket Weave and Leather Box Style Handbag British Hong Kong

This is an adorable little basket weave woven box bag dating back to the 1950's. The handbag is a small box shape and style measuring 8 inches in length, 5 1/2 inches in width and 5 1/2 inches in depth. The handle height is 4 inches. The bag is a woven rattan wicker with a laminate finish. The leather trim is accented with brass studs. The bag is constructed of a very solid and secure box frame, very well made. The lining of the bag is completely intact showing no rips or tears. The woven basket weave rattan material of the bag shows no cracks, splits, missing rattan weave and is overall completely intact. The bag does show a bit of natural patina to the leather and brass studs as it is over 50 years old. The bag is hand made in British Hong Kong with label intact. This is a cute little vintage bag for summer wear. Perfect for an office lunch box, vintage and antique display as well as fashion wear.
