The traditional craft of rug hooking is the epitome of recycling. Old garments are cut into strips to be pulled through the linen foundation fabric. This piece is a combination of recycled wool, yak yarn my husband brought me back from Tibet, organic cotton and merino yarns, and a pinch of new wool to fill in the gaps. The pillow is stuffed with a high quality eco friendly fill, and it is backed with a recycled kilt.
