A vintage fabric ship is the main feature of this skirt along with plenty of gorgeous fabrics, mostly vintage, lots of old lace, doilies, trims and coloured shiny shell buttons. There is a large amount of vintage hand embroideries too - one panel has a beautiful fine work in tiny cross stitches. Lace appliques galore, an embroidered side pocket and floral chiffon type fabric ties add to the detailed mix.
Another panel is made of one of my favourite antique fabrics from the 1930's - in a floral design. It blends so well with another old piece of Asian silky fabric, which has a high sheen. Nice soft faded colours and lots of interest. It can tie anywhere you choose, there is no particular front or back, therefore enabling different looks for different days.
