Sorry, this item sold. You may also like:
It has a diameter of 9'' (22.5 cm). There is a metal hanger at the back firmly soldered to the body. The plate weighs 7.4 oz (220 gr).
The style of this plate belongs to the Erzincan tradition of folk crafts, which is a provincial town in eastern Anatolia renowned for its coppersmiths. The piece is richly ornate with etchings of tulips and daisies.
The plate diplays considerable corrosion, discoloration and darkening. I had a hard time taking accurate photos of this piece as it reflects light a lot so pictures ended up either too shiny or too dark. From some angles it shows a bright orange tone (as in pics #2,3) and from others it looks paler as in first pic.
The plate has small scratches and chips. The bottom and the edges feels and at some spots looks dented. There are a couple of small dark marks that need cleaning and dish would benefit from polishing. There are no splits, holes, tears or cracks.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I can gladly upload or send you photos from different angles if you like.
