Praying with Prayer Beads may be your answer. The touching of the fingers on each successive bead aids in keeping your mind from wandering and the rhythm of the prayers will lead you more readily into stillness, keeping you focused.
Our ecumenical prayer bead CHAPLET (also known as Anglican prayer beads) have a circle made up of seven beads, called a WEEK. In Judeo-Christian tradition the number seven represents spiritual perfection and completion.
At the base of the week is one CRUCIFORM bead. The INVITATORY bead is positioned between the circle of beads and the CROSS.
CHAPLETS are used in the same manner as the full FOUR WEEK prayer beads, but have only ONE WEEK, and can be placed over one finger and held in the palm of your hand.
This CHAPLET is made up of Blue Denim Lapis beads in the week. The cruciform bead is an ornate long silver bead, the Invitatory bead is a clear glass cube. It is accented with small silver beads, and finished with a silver filigree cross. It measures 6" in length.
Your Ecumenical Prayer Beads will come in a drawstring pouch for safekeeping when not in use, and a brochure describing their use, and seven prayers.
