This Larger Yunomi has an unctuous feel in the hand and an incredible visual depth to the glaze finish that demands close and careful viewing. The varied play of colors (red, blue, gold and purple) are a result of the copper, wood and rutile reducing in the kiln during the firing. This piece was wheel thrown and shows the subtle throwing rings of the process and has been slightly altered in 4 area near the the foot of the cup, that allow this Yunomi to fit the hand just right.
