This treasured quilt measures 62" x 70". It shows over-all wear and some fading of color, but still maintains its beauty considering its age, probably 1930's or early 1940's. There are a couple of very small stains, hardly noticeable. The close-up photos # 4 and #5 show details of wear.
It is all hand-quilted. The white areas are quilted with a lovely floral pattern. The backing is in good shape. Lovely display piece!
Historical note: This quilt came from New England.
The Double Irish Chain pattern originated in the early 1800's and is a highly desirable quilt pattern for collectors.
