Each skirt has a waistband with 2" wide elastic, plus a side zipper, creating an adjustable top.
**To calculate your size, measure around the part of your body where you want to wear this skirt, then follow the chart below.
If you want the skirt to be more form-fitting (the pencil skirt does this naturally, somewhat), choose the size in which your measurement is in the upper half of the range.
If you want the skirt to be looser at the top, choose the size in which your measurement is in the lower half of the range.
(The elastic is cut to the smallest measurement of the range and will stretch to comfortably fit the largest measurement in the range.)
