Words cannot describe how lovely these opera glasses are. The mother of pearl is beautiful and they are marked Marchand, the maker of these fine binoculars. The original leather case is very worn and fragile, but still adds a wonderful feel for display. Center screw for the glasses is missing - see 3rd photo! The glasses still work and DO NOT come apart, and you may be able to find a replacement. I've displayed these for years (never had the screw) and it's time for someone else to enjoy this bit of genuine 1800s history. A treat for the eyes!
