This is one of the ribbon sticks I've made for a while for friends, and then they started asking me to sell them so they could give them as gifts. I start with eight feet of white 100% silk ribbon for its beautiful, light-as-air flow. I hand-dye it, each one differently, then attach it with a screw eye and swivel to a hardwood dowel, which I have sanded, shined and buffed with hemp oil. I personalize it by wood-burning, with the child's name or another word/design, just let me know.
These are handmade with a lot of love. My kids love them and they're kind of addictive for adults as well.
Of course you should use common sense in letting small children play with these, as the ribbon is long (about eight feet) and there is some small hardware and a stick involved.
