The "Fragonard" Brooch.
When I look at this I think of Ladurée macarons, rose petal preserves, the delicate floral wallpaper in Marie Antoinette's bedroom at Versailles, gilded Italian Rococo frames, and those oh so sweet boxes of candied violets. Can you stand it?
The "Fragonard" is composed of an antique brass "mermaid shell" motif pin that I have extravagantly decorated with the finest gemstones that include two faceted golden rutilated quartz briolettes, and two hand-linked "swags" of rare pink orchid faceted sapphire rondelles.
The ultimate jaw-dropping centerpiece of this design is an extraordinary, 100% natural, untreated, enormous (53.86 Carats), flawless faceted pink amethyst briolette. (Unlike 98% of most gemstones sold this one has had no treatment whatsoever - it IS stunning!) This beautiful brooch is decadent in every way imaginable and certainly not for the faint of heart!
