Size: 5 x 7 inches, full bleed (borderless) photographic print.
This photogram (details about photograms below) image has been scanned and printed at a professional photo lab from the original that I created & hand processed in the darkroom directly onto old circa 1940s expired vintage photographic paper. This print is on archival Kodak Professional Endura paper with a lustre finish.
What is a Photogram?
Photograms are a form of photography in that they use sensitised photographic paper, a light source, and conventional photographic developing chemicals. The difference between Photograms & Photographs is that no camera or film is used to create photograms. It’s camera-less photography! Images can be created by placing objects onto the photo sensitive paper, exposing to light, & then developing in the conventional manner. Other techniques are painting directly onto the photo sensitive paper using developing chemicals & experimenting with light sources / exposure times, following with the remaining steps of the developing / print process. It’s an experimental hand contact printing technique resulting in unique & often ghostly, delicate appearing images.
The second gallery photo is an example of how your print would look framed. Price of this item does not include matting or framing. You are purchasing the print only.
