So.....what to do with goat hair? We think goat hair is wonderful!
Ok, it pongs a bit when it gets wet but it really is wonderful stuff. When the light catches it, it has a slight translucent quality and a near sparkle. It also has great structural properties and will make excellent bag handles. Feeling a bit naughty? Blend with wool (or whatever you fancy) in your drum carder and spin some up for some seriously textured yarn. (Seriously textured in a barbed wire sort of way). You probably wouldn't want to wear a hat made out of this stuff. Great for embellishments too.
Want to try needle felting it? Very carefully grab yourself a 19 gauge felting needle. These bad boys are bigger and thicker than your average fine hair needle and will wreak havoc on your foam felting pad (turning it into cushion filler), so best use the felting brush pads.
Hand dyed by Lora with acid dyes. Colours may run a little.
**Our studio isn't big and it's full of fibres! Sometimes these fibres escape while we're busy with our backs turned. Angelina is the worst culprit (despite the name) and may wiggle, fly, creep, crawl or even parachute into other fibres. We do our best to stop them but occasionally they do break free.
