I used a special two tone staining to really make this box gorgeous and unique. The top of the box uses a "Light oak" stain, and the rest of the box uses "Old English". I also inserted a small magnet to help keep it closed in place of a clasp.
It could, of course, hold other things than pencils including money, small sewing/ cross stitch supplies, and whatever else you can think up.
The box is 8 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches tall.
