Classic Creme Damask 51x99" Tablecloth. Gingham check. Ready to ship. Contact me for a trimming scrap to feel and see just how nice this fabric will be on your table. Considering the size of this cloth shown, this would be suitable for a medium to large size table. The photo gives the appearance of velvet and very puffy which it is not; slightly puffy. It is very classic silky damask looking.

If this size does not suit you, contact me for an alternate size and I will post it with the price.

Due to shrinkage of this fabric when pre-washed, the width will be 51 inches and any reasonable length unless it is pieced. Piecing is by no means a negative. Depending on how it is done, it can add to the uniqueness of the finished piece.

When deciding the size of a desired tablecloth, measure the top of your table. Then visualize how much you want the cloth to drape over the edge. Double that number and add it to the measurements of each side of the table top measurement. Then you are ready to order your custom made tablecloth.

I will post when the quantity of fabric is low and will no longer be available.

All my table cloths are new/unused, pre-washed/pre-shrunk and sewn in a clean environment; no fumes. I purchased these fabrics at the auction of a national drapery and upholstery company who had gone out of business. Since I love to sew, I saw an opportunity to help my daughter with her college debt by making and selling the fabric as tablecloths. I was told by a former employee, when I picked up the fabrics, that these fabrics have not before now been sold to the public and I presume will not be manufactured again. Many of the fabrics I purchased were made exclusively for this company and sold to high end desgners and architects.

Interesting history of damask fabric: Wikipedia states that Damask fabric is named for the area where it was originally created, Damascus, and being woven using one of the five weaving techniques of the early middle ages.
