This dichroic fused glass pendant is a captivating piece of jewelry. You will wear it with pride and find that you get many compliments! Or, if you give it as a gift you will get many heartfelt thanks! I fused a gorgeous green, blue, aqua blue dichroic glass with "pebbles" of clear glass on top. These clear pebbles carry the light in and out of the piece in a way that makes it sparkle and dance. There are also some golden tones to it at certain angles. Very beautiful to behold! The bail is a darling owl in silver plate. You can see the owl in the last picture. This is delicate and feminine at 1 3/4" X 3/4" including the darling owl bail. I include an 18" silver plated ball chain, but you are welcome to request a different length, if desired.
Dichroic glass’ most distinctive appeal lies in having different transmitted and reflective colors, both appearing as completely new shades. The transmitted color is that which we can actually see through the glass. The reflected color is what we see when light bounces off the surface. In dichroic glass, these two colors transform depending on angle of view creating a remarkable play of light.
