This painting is a part of a series of cuckoos I am painting that are inspired by a broken clock I found at a junk shop. I love introducing bright colors to emphasize the imaginative carving and narratives I see in each clock.
Here I painted three birds in the woods. It is night time and they softly call out making haunting songs for the village children to hear as they fall asleep.
