Larimar is a rare form of pectolite found only in a remote region of the Dominican Republic. It comes in a wide variety of colors ranging from white to light blue, green blue and deep blue. It has been called the Caribbean gemstone, not only because of the location it is found, but also because of the colors, which mimic perfectly the variations of color of the Caribbean Sea. The natural color variation and patterning or streaks (red and brown) are what make each and every stone so unique and beautiful.
