I love this vintage 1930s Indianapolis 500 Racing bag. The woven tote features seven velvet flags. There is a label inside that reads: Miki's House Carmel, Indiana. I think it's a homemade bag, a very well made one. I can just see this bag with a floaty summer dress. Bonus points if it is flapper style or gauzy. The bag has some issues, but who doesn't in their eighties, I ask you?
History/Backstory: A Vintage Virginia Find.
Condition: Very Good/Good. Maybe I should say V.Good (in between Very Good and Good). The flaws are minimal, especially considering the age. One handle has been repaired (badly) where it cracked and was glued back together. There is also another spot on the same handle. I'm not sure if it's glue residue or if it's the actual handle that has partially melted. The bag has become untacked in one spot at the handle. (For all of this please see Photo 5, right pic). And the blue flag with the orange stripe is not tacked to the middle. Easy fix. Please See Photo 5, left pic. The flaws do not take away from the wearability of the bag and its over all FABULOUSNESS.
