Here's a charming set of 2 Vintage Fred Press Glass Tumblers with race horse heads and jockey motif for your consideration.

Fred Press was a contemporary of George Briard, Sascha Brastoff, Bellaire etc and his glassware remains a favorite amongst collectors.

From my research, I believe that these glasses were sold in the late 1950's or early 1960's and were made my Federal glassware then decorated by Fred Press.

These tall tumblers also known as zombie glasses due to their shape were found at a recent estate sale of a sports writer.

I just love the gold colored graphics and pink shades on the clear glass. Super nice attention to detail for the racing enthusiast as well.

Each glass shows a jockey in racing silks on one side, with a head of a thoroughbred racehorse on the other side of the glass

Also featured are a horseshoe, 4 leaf clovers and spurs for everything equine and good luck.

The design includes gold colors and pink shades with a jockey in racing silks holding a saddle in one arm and his riding crop in the other hand. And it looks like the jockey may have kicked up some track dust below him.

Please note, I had to use different lighting settings on my camera to get crisper pictures, which affected the colors on the glasses. The pink on the glasses is not a coral shade, but more of a pastel pink color to my eyes.

Each glass is signed in gold color with copyright Fred Press. .

The glasses measure almost 6 3/4 inches tall, the mouth of the glass is almost but not quite 2 1/2 inches across and the base is about 2 inches across.

Each glass can hold about 14 ounces of liquid comfortably with just a smidge more room left at the top before coming to the rim.

Nice unique pair of drinking glasses to include with your other bar ware collectibles.

Or if you love the sport of kings or racing, add this to your display and then enjoy with your favorite beverage.

Condition
Some rub to the gold colored and pink graphics from age, storage and display.
The rim of one glass isn't perfectly rounded but this is the way it was made.
A few bubble bursts or bubble pops and some straw marks are noted and are from the factory.

I gently rinsed out the glasses to freshen them up, but will leave any further cleaning up to the new owner.

Care
These should be hand washed gently and not put into the dishwasher as that will strip the glasses of the pattern and colors.

Please see all the pictures and pardon the glare from camera flash.
Colors can differ from computer to computer.
