I make these pipe shaped brooches from offcuts of wood and MDF board and cover them in pages taken from a worn out copy of Sherlock Holmes. The listing is for one brooch chosen at random.
They measure approximately
7 x 3.5cm (2¾ x 1¼ inches)
and have a traditional 1 inch steel brooch fastening firmly glued onto the back.
All of my brooches are one of a kind, made from collaging various bits of vintage paper onto off-cuts of wood and board that otherwise would be thrown away. Each brooch is given between 2-3 coats of varnish for protection and a super glossy finish. They have been known to survive trips in the washing machine, although such adventures are not recommended :D
