Charmingly disarming, this incredibly special 1930’s blouse is a fantastic way to bring some old time charm into a modern wardrobe. Oh so cute with a classic huge notched portrait collar, and with ruffle trim is one part Olive Oyl, one part Betty Boop, and all parts awesome. Stunning structural puffed sleeves end in high points, and can be worn either steamed into a cascade, or straight up in points. (Both SS gals are in debate over which was the intentional style) Sweet mother of pearl buttons dot the front, though hidden snaps keep entry simple. Swiss dotted sheer fabric is an early synthetic that has some serious body to it, allowing the sleeves to keep their shape.
Another plus of the material is its strength: the condition of this sheer blouse is fantastic and can actually be worn again and again, unlike most of the blouses from the 30’s. The fabric is on the itchy side, but it’s totally sheer and meant to be worn over something, so really not a big deal. There is a small repair at the end of the button placket, but it's tiny and undetectable (message for pics).
