Baker Street is a street in the Marylebone district of the City of Westminster in London. It is named after builder William Baker, who laid the street out in the 18th century.
The street is most famous for its connection to the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, who lives at a fictional 221B Baker Street address. The area was originally high class residential, but now is mainly occupied by commercial premises.
Interesting Baker Street notes -
In 1835, the first permanent exhibition of Madame Tussauds waxworks was opened on Baker Street. The museum moved, just around the corner, to Marylebone Road in 1884.
In 1940 the headquarters of the Special Operations Executive moved to 64 Baker Street, they were often called the "Baker Street Irregulars" after Sherlock Holmes' gang of street urchins of the same name.
The Beatles' Apple Boutique was based at 94 Baker Street from 1967 to 1968.
British singer Dusty Springfield lived on Baker Street in the 1960s.

Featuring an originally designed pendant (by me) manufactured in cream coloured acrylic to represent an Old London Street Sign.
In this case it shows the iconic London street of BAKER STREET made infamous by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as the residence of the Sherlock Holmes at 221B.
These are printed using quality methods directly onto the acrylic meaning they won't peel or scratch off; giving you an incredibly hard wearing, unique necklace.
The pendant measures approx 37mm x 19 mm.
As stated these are designed by me & outsourced to be manufactured in the UK.
I have surely attached an antique bronze plated bail & it hangs on a bronze plated curb chain of 19 inches & I have included an extender & little bronze bead at the end to complete. It fastens with a bronze plated lobster clasp which allows the necklace to be clasped along the chain to be shortened if necessary.
So pretty with a touch of steampunk drama! A truly unique piece that any fan of British quirkiness or London style would be proud to wear ...
This treasure will come to you ready to give, even if it is to yourself, in a lidded gift box to keep it safe on its journey to you.
