The handles were formed by cutting the wet clay and rolling it on the sides.
This is a very unusual form modeled after an old antique vase I saw in a museum.
After being fired to the bisque stage, it was glazed in a double dip and then fired again to a high cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln..
It is a very sophisticated vase and would look great on a desk.
Made from high fired stoneware, can be used indoors or out.
7" tall and 5 1/2" wide at the widest point.
