Griffith Observatory is located in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. The observatory is on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood. The land which would eventually become Griffith Park, was donated to the city of Los Angeles by Colonel Griffith J Griffith in 1896. The observatory was built as part of the Works Progress Administration and opened in 1935. It was built in the Art Deco architectural style.

This is a reproduction of an original monoprint. **Frame and mat not included.** The prints are created through a monoprint process where the photographic image is transferred onto watercolor paper.  Afterwards, color pencil and occasionally gouache are used to augment the transferred image. This is a signed print. The image is a 5.5” x 4.1”. The entire print is 8" x 10". Printed on 130 lb coated card stock.
