I was SO excited to see what I thought was a vintage French Provincial style "princess" phone, only to realize later it was actually an AM solid state transistor radio...even cooler! Beige plastic and ornate goldtone metal featuring a scrolling flower and cherub design; this looks in every way a real phone, with removable receiver, faux rotary dial and phone cord. Made in Japan marked on bottom. Works well....as soon as I put a battery in a station came on. Tuner on one side, volume control on the other. In very good condition - some tiny areas of discoloration, missing battery cover (you can see where tape was used to hold the battery in), and a crack on the inside of the earpiece (see photo #5)....The little princess in me is having a hard time parting with this one!
** PLEASE NOTE: This is a radio only, not an actual working phone.
Measures approx 6" wide, 4 1/2" deep and 7 1/4" tall. ( * Requires one 9V battery )
Thanks for looking!
