This lighter will be shipped with a flint and without fluid. (Please do not store this lighter with the flint though, as it will deteriorate and become impacted over time.) I've completely disassembled and cleaned its firing mechanism, unblocked the flint chamber, and trimmed/tested the original wick. Its firing mechanism has been disassembled, cleaned, and restored to full working order. It works very well, with only an occasional misfire (i.e. sparks, but does not light). Nothing to be concerned about though -- misfires are pretty common with antique novelty lighters. This modestly historic lighter is in excellent condition all around.
