Joker, the extra card found in every modern card deck today is believed to be dating back to the 1860s. It is believed that the card was invented by American players who decided to introduce a trump card while changing the rules of the game. The joker has been known by several different names in the past centuries, like the jolly joker or the best bower.
These cards were found at my local antique mall and were first purchase new in the 1950's and it's original owner kept them in great condition. These cards are displayed on black construction paper in a black shadow box frame with only glass as a background. The frame is 15" tall x 12" wide and 1" thick. The cards are placed between the two pieces of glass. The back of the frame does have hardware to hang on the wall but it also looks great placed on a shelf.
