Teacup bird feeders are just another way to add some charm to your garden. Looking for a unique gift for a gardener...then I think you've found it. Bird lovers will love this as well. Having a garden party...this would be a great conversation starter. As a gift I've also included a cup of black oil sunflower seeds. These seeds are not suppose to spout in your garden.

This being another recycle project of mine, my bird feeders are made by using "gentle used" cups, plates and cut glass pieces.

I use silicone II to bond the ceramic/glass pieces together. The vase at the bottom of each feeder is used as the stake holder. Inside each vase I've glued a 1/2" copper cap. The cooper cap is to keep the vase from slipping to the side. All you have to do is center the cap over a 1/2" rebar or 1/2" copper pipe. One of the pictures to the right shows the inside of the vase.

As for the stake, you will need to purchase separately, at your local hardware store. Cost of rebar depends on size/length, so usually $2 to $4. In my personal garden, as a stake, I use 3/8" x 2' or 1/2" x 4' rebar. And as mentioned above you can also use 1/2" (or smaller) copper pipe.

*Special notes: If you live in an area that has really cold climates, then you'd want to take them in for the winter.

*Check our site http://www.isokan.com for updates. I'll sometimes preview upcomingbird feeders there. If you see something you'd like to buy email me and I'll get it listed here for you.
