This set also takes me back to my travels in Scandinavia. There is an old legend, about Loki, and the woman who would be his wife. Sigyn, was found wandering the wood by a god of the ocean. Not long after bringing home the terrified little girl who had been violently cast out of her home this same ocean god had a meeting with Loki the trickster. When Loki, arrived the ocean god was busy and could not see him immediately. So Loki, wandered the garden and met a little child named Sigyn. He gave her a flower. She never forgot him. When he returned when she was old enough she agreed to marry him. He had been kind to her as a scared and frightened lonely child. She never forgot the beauty he had given her in that terrible time. She stood, holding the bowl over his head while the snake dripped it's venom. This was his punishment for bringing about ragnarok.
The people of Scandinavia, love their ancient stories and still today feel a deep attachment to them. I merely tried to express one of the more beautiful ones in this piece. I hope you love it as much as I do. The gardens of Scandinavia, remain full of flowers in the summer time. I found it hard after hearing this story from a friend in Sweden, to think of anything other than Sigyn while looking at the flowers spreading through the lush green fields.
We are still just getting started, so please, keep checking back for new bits of awesome.
