A matching set of dark green Belber luggage, made from Neolite "the miracle material". Because of its durability, Neolite was first used as soles for shoes and then became the choice material for luggage and handbags in the 1950's.
Both suitcases feature three pockets along the sides, as well as a large pocket in the lid. There are two keys and the smaller suitcase has retained its Belber Neolite label. This pair of suitcases is in very good condition, especially the smaller one. The larger one does have a big scrape on one side and a crack on the bottom edge of the top piece, near the metal foot (see last photo.) It is still very sturdy and will work great for a storage or display piece. The smaller suitcase is in excellent condition and appears to have had very little use. The fabric lining is acetate. The interior of both suitcases are very clean with no noticeable stains or odors. Hinges and latches appear to be brass.
The large suitcase measures apprx. 25.5" x 16.25" x 8". The smaller suitcase is approx. 20.5" x 14" x 7". Suitcases will nest inside each other.
