There is nothing better to use for sipping Iced Tea on a hot summer day. When you add lots of ice, you can just watch the condensation forming all the way up to the beverage line.
This set is is unbelievable condition with little or no wear or fading to them, some-one must've said "Hands Off" to the kiddies. There are a few very small abrasions and use scratches, and only a tinge of fading on the light green one.
Great environmental and health choice No BPA.
I recommend sipping from a supine position, in the grass under a shady willow tree with a book you enjoy.
Aluminum was the standard before plastic had it’s big breakthrough. These aluminum cups were popular in the 1940s and ’50s in the same settings where today plastic is the number one material of choice: barbecues, parties, beach lunches and picnics. KID Proof!
The two main manufacturers of aluminum tumblers were Sunburst and the Italian company Bascal. These are the latter. The cups came in bright colors – purple, pink, red, blue, silver and a variety of other gem toned hues. The aluminum was anodized – a process that protects aluminum from oxidation, increases wear resistance, and promotes color retention. Still, these cups are not recommended for dishwashers, as their colors will fade faster than with hand washing.
This colorful collection includes 6 bright colored Tumblers that stand 4 1/2 inches tall. See photos for color selection of this gorgeous set.
I encourage you to purchase all I have in both my shops for your fantastic "Retro Wedding or Family Reunion" since in total I have several sets of these jewel toned tumblers.
They have such a Kitsch appeal and rainbow blast of color. Imagine using them for floral displays or drinks. What a fantastic party favor!
Looks great in the kitchen too.
