Classic cocktail dress of the late 1950s or early 1960s is perfect for the more casual bride of today. Scalloped lace creates a bateau neckline with taffeta lining cut in a sweetheart shape further down the bodice. Princess seams have a creative angled seam running between the two. Flat front skirt is gathered the rest of the way 'round and comes to a point in the back echoing the neckline. Neckline and hem are trimmed in white scalloped lace, an unusual choice for this buttery cream colored lace dress. Embroidered lace is underlined in tulle throughout with a tulle skirt trimmed in a tulle ruffle sandwiched between the lace and taffeta lining of the skirt.

This garment also bears the International Garment Workers Union Lable ALF-CIO that dates from 1955-1963.

Fit:
Pearl's measurements at the time of this shoot were 33-25-38 and she stands 5'8" tall. Judge how this will appear on you by comparison and with the assistance of the following measurements. This will be more of a tea length dress on a shorter bride.

~Waist: Up to 26"
~Hip: Full
~Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
~Sleeve length from neckline to point: 25.5"
~Length from shoulder seam to hem 25"
Condition:
Very Good condition rating a 7 out of 10. The only flaws worth noting are several tears in the tulle lining the sleeves, particularly the right one. Just the tulle not the lace. There is also a small break in the lace on the shoulder near the sleeve seam as seen in the last photo. The embroidered part of the lace has frayed slightly there but the tulle beneath is still in one piece and it's not particularly noticeable. You might even need to use the zoom feature to notice it.
