Polwarth is a fine white wool, easy to spin, and very bouncy, crimpy and baby soft. The Polwarth sheep breed is a cross between the Merino and Lincoln breeds which combines the best characteristics of both: the softness of Merino (23.5 micron fibers), with an easy-to-handle staple length of 4-5 inches. It takes dye beautifully and is a very soft, smooth and fun spin.
With all of these great characteristics, it's easy to see why Polwarth is fast becoming one of the most popular new wool fibers in the handspinning world.
Please note that this will felt, so gentle handwashing in cold water is recommended.
Hand-dyed for your spinning pleasure using professional low environmental impact dyes.
