The photo is of an elderly widow in full mourning garb including the hair covering with white funeral floral trim. The photo is printed on a heavy paper and cut to fit the frame. It appears to be an original print. The frame is a milky amber celluloid which carries the hallmark Du Barry Pyralin, one of the earliest forms of celluloid, available around 1910.
The frame is 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide with an oval window with slightly convex glass. The back of the frame has a fabric covered hoop and stand. The hoop is some loose fabric and the stand is worn but usable. Please see the photo for details.
