Les quatre coins de la Terre ("the four corners of the earth," in French) is the only painting I ever printed with these images that has over 20 hand-printed layers and is comprised of 4 individual compositions on one sheet of paper! Each color you see was a screen that was printed to form that layer. There are also a few gold and silver layers that shine through at various angles, which you can see clearly from the photos.
I was tempted to crop it into four separate paintings, but I feel it's a more vibrant, pop-art-esque piece if left as is. None of the photos shows that at the very center is a large 15 inch long iridescent pink hawk that is only seen when light hits the whole painting!
A truly stunning piece that I'm almost hesitant to sell, as it's so unique and will be a real conversation piece forever. It's almost one of the first collage paintings I ever printed, thus will hopefully be worth more one day.
26 inches long x 19 inches high, printed on poster board (not archival printing paper)
Signed, named, and dated on back.
NOTE: FRAME AND MAT ARE NOT INCLUDED -- ONLY THE PAINTING.
Shipping: All pieces are wrapped in glassine, which is a thin, protective archival (acid free) paper (feels like wax paper). I then press each piece between two layers of 3/8 inch foam board to prevent any bending of the work when shipped. I then wrap the foam board with shipping paper and tape. USPS mail is used with trackable delivery and is insured.
