Heishi shell was originally made by the Santo Domingo and San Felipe Pueblo Indians. It refers to the beads that are made of ground down organic materials. Many different materials are used in heishi. Oysters, clams, mother of pearl, coconut, and stones like turquoise, lapis and others.

This necklace does not fit in a box due to it's lack of bendability but will come wrapped in tissue paper.
